Designed with a lot of lag and found it didn't work. Correctly assembled. Called Hunter customer service and got really good help. Thorough checklist gone through, guy is very knowledgeable. It turns out that the problem stems from the fan and remote not talking to each other. Needless to say, the frustration of having to go through hardships is bearable. silver lining. The Hunter will supply you with a new one and if not available will give you a choice of 3 other fan options from their many options.
