I needed a remote controlled incense thermometer, not Bluetooth/connected because I want to use it anywhere - with or without network, and also a phone that works without because phone apps are often out of date and cannot be used by another user when I am not near my phone. There were many similar models with similar features on Revain. It had the best price and the best reviews. This instrument is well made and accurate. It is inexpensive and has 4 channels - very useful when smoking, as different cuts of meat are never at the same temperature. I use one of the sensors/channels to control the temperature of the smoker. As it turned out, my "digitally controlled" smoker was 30F under temperature! The only minor complaints: 1. The timer only works up to 99 minutes. 2. Some icons are small and difficult to read. Overall a great product at a great price.
