Does not take long. in my rating
My 5.5 year old wore them for 3 months. I expected them to last until he outgrew them. The elastic on the whole fabric is completely torn. We rinse them off and hang them out to dry after almost every bath. He LOVES them but I'm really disappointed in their lack of durability.

- The great-granddaughter is happy in her new swimming trunks. Great fit great material.

- Works little. I had to go back.
