I finally gave in to temptation and purchased this product. I love gadgets and I have a deep fryer, a mini pie, a mini pie, an omelette maker (two semicircles) and a dash crepe/omelette maker. I don't really like pancakes or waffles, but I liked the novelty of making an edible bowl. I modified a vegan recipe that used 2 cups of flour and ended up with 16 waffle cups. My only two complaints are that the sides heat up as the manual states and it lasts over 5 minutes. I ended up just using it to shape waffle cups and then popping them on a baking sheet in the oven at 200F. The brochure says 3 tablespoons to 1/4 cup. 1/4 cup is way too much, I found 1/8 cup to be more or less ideal. Just try to line up the dough in the middle. No overflows.
