I was tired of squinting in the Florida sun so I went looking for a pair of DARK sunglasses. I looked for dark ones, like welding goggles, dark ones. Look into the dark sun, these glasses are not her. If you're looking for dark sunglasses, skip these. These are the perfect sunglasses for everyday use. I drive a car with tinted windows and I don't see any problems with that. *Well, let me add that if you look out of the sedan tinted rear windows, yes it's hard to see, but a clear windshield and side front windows that have a legal tint are no problem during the day. Make sure you order DARK. Some people (in the reviews) seem to have ordered the wrong ones and are wondering why they aren't even dark. For the price they are great. I got rid of the Costa pair because they were blurry and not dark enough for me. They're not washed out and a lot darker than this - A LOT! The foam around the frame to block the light doesn't bother me like some others like these reviews have written. If I push them back that far, my lashes will hit the frame, so I don't push them back that far. "Foam/upholstery" is secondary. Don't let that stop you from buying them. The only thing I would say against that is that they give things a slight bluish cast. Overall these glasses are worth the money to keep in your car or as a pair for everyday use. I'm still looking for a darker polarized pair for outdoor use like the beach.
