I've used it 4-5 times. One hand wash on the left, two machine washes on the right. I read some of the comments before ordering them saying they fall off or falling apart. I read the instructions before using and it tells you to spin it at high speed for a few minutes before using. I hand washed them a few times with soap and water and one day I got too lazy and tossed one in the washing machine with a bunch of microfiber clothes and just detergent and then let it air dry. The washer came out soft and fluffy with no damage. The hand washed ones were crusty once or twice because I must have rinsed them badly. I've used them with compound and polish and they worked well for both purposes. I used a spray bottle with a 1:10 sprayer and water and sprayed it once before using the compound and felt it helped keep it from drying out too quickly. I have not used them for wax.
