Manufacturing defect but otherwise fine
I'm pretty sure this was a one off issue but one of the holes used to attach the legs was not drilled large enough for the hardware. Since my desk hardly moves and I don't actually pull out a drawer, I decided to leave it as it is. I didn't have time to wait for a replacement either. Of course, this makes it less durable, but if you have time to get it back, give it a try.
