This scooter is SO fancy and fun with all the lights. When we take it out at dusk/in the dark, it's a show-stopper. The lights are so bright and fun. The battery life is great and it runs well. However, the mechanism to engage the electric power is not as intuitive or easy to use as other models. Other models we've tried have a push button at the handle. This one, you have to engage the power by stepping on two little raised up touch spots on the foot board. It is quite tricky to line up your feet in just the right place, especially when you're just learning to use a scooter. As an adult, balancing on a scooter is no problem, but I still had a little trouble trying to get my feet in the right place while balancing to make this one go. My kids had even more since they're still figuring out the balance part.Although this scooter looks really cool and the pink color is flashy, unless you have an advanced scooter rider, you might consider trying one with a hand toggle to engage the electric power rather than the feet pedals.
