I LOVE these skewers. They are perfect for roasting marshmallows. At first I was concerned that because they were stretched they might bend or weaken and kinda wither in the fire, but that's NOT a problem at all. I've used them 3 times and every time they work great they do their job perfectly. And for a set of 8, you can't beat the price. I'm the kind of person who carefully checks all of my purchases before making a purchase, and I will say: buy this! The only thing I can say is that the packaging isn't thick, you can definitely pierce them, but that says nothing about the quality of the skewers themselves. I've taken these campgrounds and tried making "kebabs" out of them to light them up and they did a good job of cooking everything without burning themselves, but the skewer portion is short and the two prongs on each one are close together so can really put 5 mushrooms MAXIMUM on top (I made mushrooms, steak and potato skewers). But if you want them for roasting marshmallows, I highly recommend them.
