I have one of these tongs, a little shorter than the ones I use for grilling. But I use these long 17 inch tongs to pick up dead cactus flowers. After flowering, they dry up and fall off in and around the plant. Even with the best gloves, I can't successfully pick them up without getting stuck many times. They are perfect for protecting my hands. The rubber grip is also comfortable during this operation.
