They DO NOT start at the end of the line. METRICA is not at the top. I ordered them because the metric was at the top and the ruler started at the end of the metal as in the picture. Also, the 1/2mm markings make the ruler unreadable. I hate returning $8 purchases but I will return them. UPDATE: After this review was published, Mr. Pen contacted me and sent me a new rule book that matches the picture exactly. Mr. Peng sent a new ruler set without my knowledge, and they didn't charge me for solving the problem. Also, Mr. Pen didn't ask me to fix the problem, so I decided to update this post based on the new rulers. The markings start at the very edge and the metric measurements are at the top. The first 5 centimeters are half of the 1/2 millimeter mark, making it difficult to read with old eyes. In addition, the Mr. Pen company offers very good customer service.
