I use them to sort Pandora style beads. I have a set of 100 and a set of 40 and wanted to organize them by color. They work great. The chain is less than thin enough to go through the beads but wide enough to hook the silicone plugs to separate the beads. Pro Jewelry 500 high quality silicone rubber stoppers (black and white mix) to use alone or with a clip lock charm. The short length of the chain allows me to break into a long stream of beads and pull out or add whatever I feel like. The clasps at the end release on both sides. Found that one of the clasps wasn't closed tight enough to hold the chain. A pair of pliers fixed the situation (although I pinched too hard at first, I was able to fix it easily). The attached photo shows small pads. I made another necklace with larger beads, probably 50% wider in diameter. Works equally well for both. I think I'll find another use for them around the house. A good thing.
