I already had a second generation Apple Pencil so I didn't want to spend money on a first generation Apple Pencil but I needed it for the new iPad mini I bought. It is slightly larger than the 2nd generation pencil. (I don't know if it's comparable in size to a 1st generation pencil.) I like the color pink. It thickens the line when the pen is tilted at an angle, which comes in handy when drawing in Procreate. I had to get used to switching the pencil on and off, because this isn't necessary with the second generation of Apple's pencil. The price was much cheaper than Apple's. I would buy this again. (I use it with a protective film that looks like paper.)
