I have an old one; Sears handyman. Exactly the same on the letters. The cables to the battery eventually broke and I decided not to try to fix it but to buy a new one. I am renovating my house; Well, with the help of a contractor and a team! I've had a lot of Romex cables running back and forth and just dropping or connecting to something for unknown reasons. I use this Extech (and my old Sears) to keep track of which wires go where. It's a simple principle; The device simply sends a small charge from a 9 volt battery through two wires (e.g. hot and neutral) and if the other end is just as hot a light and buzzer will let you know. Now remember to turn off the power! Get an air conditioner tester like Klein so you don't get shocked. Good product!
