I was looking for a second pair of headphones (the first was the Shure e420) for use in the gym. I damaged my Shure from sweat. After replacing them I decided to find something that could last 3-4 times a week. After researching all the available options, I settled on these Sony over-ear headphones. They sit comfortably on the head and do not move during use. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is that the headphones require some work to get a perfect fit, but you can make it work. I'm a bit of a Shure spoiler so I'll have to adjust to a different fit. I mostly listen to books on my iPod at the gym. The sound quality is very good when set correctly. If you don't do this, audio leaks will occur and you will have to turn up the volume. So far I have to say that I am very satisfied with Sony. They did a great job on "cable management" and you can use a short cable for a wrist strap or a longer cable if you need extra length. Haven't noticed any wear yet, but even if they eventually break, it'll be $50, not $300 (Shure). I would recommend them to anyone and will probably buy another pair if and when they break.
