I don't have to rummage through the shopping cart to find it. I smack it right on the steering column and it never falls off. I've seen people bang it against windshield pillars and while mine has never fallen off I'm afraid it might fall out of the car if I hit a big enough dent when it's secured there, so I feel making him a little more secure at the steering wheel. Pillar. Great addition as the viewfinder still fits in the case when wrapped around it. It doesn't add any volume at all and allows you to press all the buttons on top of the rangefinder.
