Review on Salomon Athletic Water Shoes Hiking Grape Shadow Men's Shoes by Maurice Morris

I've bought them in the Gore-Tex version many times over the years. They are my favorites and I have tried many other lightweight running shoes. However, this mesh version is terrible. The zigzag pattern on the side (the non-mesh part) has a sturdy, abrasive stitching that digs deep into your feet on both sides and even the top of your feet. There are blisters and almost artificial cuts on the legs - oops! I suspect this is part of the "v8" redesign they are pushing. As this is the first time I've bought the mesh version, I can't say for sure if it's a redesign, but anyway... don't buy it. . Basically, you need to wrap tape around the entire boot so it doesn't hurt. I didn't buy mine from Amazon this time as they weren't available at the time, but thought it would be the best place to get an honest review. I doubt I'll ever buy the Gore-Tex version again after this redesign unless they send it back and I don't get a chance to try it on before buying.
