This is my first Epson printer. I've had Canon photo printers in the past that have been good but the ink heads have always clogged. This is a medium sized printer that can also copy and scan.1. Photo printing is great BUT you have to fiddle around to get the right settings and use quality paper. Cheap photo paper from Costco didn't work for me. I am using Ilford Gallerie with great results.2. B/W printing (documents, texts) is also very good, on par with my laser printer. It features double-sided printing which is very easy to use3. Scanning is excellent, easy to use, great quality and multiple resolution options. Surpassed a Brother laser printer I had4. Copy is good too, only manual Feed5. Setup is easy and hassle-free. CONSOonly one thing: the ink costs. This is a very expensive printer to use as your primary printer. If you need to constantly print documents (especially if you work from home), it won't cost you much. Consider a dedicated printer for black and white documents - I recently bought a laser for this and am happy with it. I think if you want to print color photos and scan documents, this printer is a great choice. For everyday use, look for a cheaper alternative.
