Do you add vinegar to your chicken water? If so, you've probably noticed that o-rings expand and crack due to acid, causing the nipples to leak over time (mine is 6 months old). While replacing the o-rings will save you some money since the nipples are $1 each, the real saving is your time. I use 5 liter buckets for drinking. Instead of wasting time unscrewing and replacing the nipples, I can now just quickly replace the o-rings. Bonus, it's a viton so they should last a lot longer than the standard buna rubber your nipples come with.
