Very picky device in Computers & Accessories

I gave this device 3 stars because it doesn't always work. I have the latest version of Serv Pac for Windows 10 dated February 21st. The Blu-ray player is visible but the software is not accessible. I compare that to the cable that comes with the Blu-ray player, which works 100% of the time. Maybe it's the electronics in the cable?
