These are high quality 1 micron carbon block filters. I use them in a reverse osmosis filter system. I am currently using a 6 stage system which consists of: - Sediment 5 micron - Sediment 1 micron - Carbon block 1 micron - Carbon block 0.6 micron - Reverse osmosis membrane 75 gallons per day - Storage tanks - Post filter with granular activated carbon The PurePlus brand seems very qualitative to be good. They appear to be well made. They fit in a standard 10 inch filter canister. They come with rubber grommets already fitted to the ends. With coupon and price for 3 packs I think they are reasonable value. Solid 4 stars.
