I bought this and a few other customization parts for my Dyson DC24. When I installed this I didn't have to vacuum, so I haven't used that new brush to this day when the plant fell off (thanks cat). I had already thrown away my old brush before trying this one, which wasn't my smart move. This aftermarket replacement looks like it will work, but it's shorter than the stock and makes a horrible rattle the whole time you're vacuuming with the brush. on. This is NOT to OEM specs and will not fit the DC24, although there is a part number on the Dyson website that my DC24 uses. The Dyson website asks for your serial number and gives you a list of typical replacement parts and their part numbers so I know it's the correct part number. I just made it cheaper to buy the aftermarket with two days shipping vs Dyson with one week shipping. In my video you can see my exact model number on my vacuum along with all the DC24 logos and then you can see how much I can move the brush back and forth even though it's tight. Unfortunately I now have to deal with returning this and buying direct from Dyson. I guess that's what I get when I try to save $10.
