Other lids we've used in the past have had flaws, but this one had issues and is much more versatile. The stand rotates and locks into multiple positions so it can be viewed both vertically and horizontally. The charging port features a flip-out rubber plug to prevent debris from entering when not charging. Other cases have not offered this in the past. It doesn't come with an integrated screen protector, which I prefer since you can use disposable glass screen protectors, which stay clean and don't scratch as easily as plastic integrated screen covers. All in all, this is a great design. We've never used the strap option, but I can see how useful it can be for kids taller than me to carry it on the shoulder.
