Review on 🦄 Janlynn Cross Stitch Kit, 15x11: Unicorn & Dragon Fantasy Picture by Barbara Simmons

I ordered this last week and was very happy to receive it. I've considered giving it 4 stars for a number of reasons, but I don't mind that I think it deserves less. The day after ordering I received an email that it had been shipped along with a tracking number. The tracking number never worked. So I wandered around the apartment for a few days waiting, because the product I ordered a few days ago was just in the hallway in front of my door. There are over 250 apartments in my building with a huge history of theft. I didn't want him to go. Finally I realized that he had just been left in the waiting room. Nobody is to blame except my own inability to think about it. I'm stupid but this is only the second item I've ever ordered online. Kind of new to this department, except if the tracking number worked I would know it arrived. Also, the thread mentioned in the instructions was missing to identify the colors. The kit contains twice the amount of floss listed, making it impossible to identify colors by the number of floss included. And if we're talking about twice as many, then one color of gold thread for the border wasn't enough at all. Nothing really special because I have something nearby that I can use. Finally, my final "surprise" was the colors themselves. Purple, black, and teal are my favorite colors, so I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. The color was my main reason for ordering this kit, but it's more greenish than bluish. Every picture I see on the internet looks turquoise but mine is just a pale green. It's still beautiful and maybe the color of the feather thread will change a bit. I've never used it so I don't know much about it and the effect it has on a thread. The little I've made doesn't look "brilliant" so I might double down and buy more online. I want my dragon to really shine. Last but not least because the last thing I want is for this review to sound negative. The price was amazing! When I was looking for pictures of the finished product to compare the colors, I saw it for sale on many websites and even some stores that don't have any craft supplies at all. Everyone wanted at least $5 more plus shipping. I'm so glad I saw it here for the first time!
