I like these brushes because I have a small mouth and they fit easily in the back of my mouth to reach my molars and gums. The bristles are some of the softest of any toothbrush I've used but it's really really good if you're like me, a dental hygienist gave you a lecture about brushing your teeth too hard which causes your gums receding. Result. Charcoal is just a trick. It cannot stay in the mouth long enough to do anything significant. It's a great thing in black toothpaste because you scare people to death with it lol.
