The Duplo tracks are great overall. The splints have a good balance of a loose fit but are snug enough to hold together well. The pieces have enough play that they snap together easily, but hold together well when the train runs over them. It was great to see my son start building paths and planning how to make new shapes out of the way. With this kit he could go beyond simple tracks and build tracks with a certain height and even let the train pass under the bridge. One thing I noticed is that the train we have (LEGO DUPLO Cargo Train 10875) definitely has a bit of a hard time going up the ramp when it's pulling all the cars and when the batteries wear out that's the problem balanced more emphasized. Eventually the train will run on level ground but not uphill until we change the batteries. This set inspired me.
