Pros: Perfect size for a 17 inch laptop. Quiet fans. Adjustable fan speed. but this pad has one (completely useless) feature - a colored strip of light around the front of the pad. It pulsates, pulsates and changes colors like on a dance floor. There are FOURTEEN different color/ripple/change options. ok it has a useless feature that i won't be using because the pulsing lights just distract me from what i'm doing on my laptop. Turn on the computer, the light bar will light up. If you want to turn it off, you'll have to press the button to cycle through all the backlight options until you get to the turn off setting, which is at the bottom of the list. Press the button FOURTEEN TIMES to turn it off! You can press "tap-tap-tap" and turn on the hassle that causes ADD if you want. Also, you can't turn off the blue light in the fans. They're always obscured by the laptop, so I don't care. While it's a great notebook in every other way, I think the disco edge lights and crazy default settings will be enough to make me send it back.
