I bought this tape measure earlier this year, now I am switching to the tape measure. I've used it for general framing, trimming and carpentry work. It replaced my Stanley Fatmax that I usually use. I really like the lock feature which can be toggled on and off with the chrome button on top. In one position it holds the tape measure, when you pull it out and press the button it retracts, push the button up and it works like a regular tape measure. practical when cutting, if you stretch a measuring tape over the cutting board and cut directly from the measuring tape. The highlight isn't that big on the tape but I personally rarely need this feature and the last 2 times I've worked it upside down with no tape measure upside down. Finally, Stanley owns a master, so technically it's just a variation of Stanley/Fatmax.
