Review on SMAKN® Converter Voltage Supply Waterproof by Omar Gonzales

I bought this to power the raspberry pi from a 24VAC power signal from the air conditioner. I've used parts like this before and they're definitely good quality. Casting the circuits (by encapsulating them in liquid epoxy or something similar) ensures they are virtually immune to things like vibration and pinching. Note that this circuit does not appear to be isolated. It powered the Raspberry Pi, but I noticed tingling when I touched the USB connectors. I thought it was ok for a floating output so I connected the -voltage output to ground. A 3A fuse has blown in the block. Hope your Raspberry Pi is ok. It must not be an isolated power supply, but a cover type power supply or some other type of transformerless design. So keep that in mind. Instead of outputting 0V and 5V, it may well output 19V and 24V. I'll see if changing the wiring changes the behavior.
