Review on Leifheit Cherry Stoner: Pit Catcher Container, Enhanced Ergonomic Handle, and Anti-Slip Rubber Feet by Stacey Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What not to do: Kitchen and dining room

I don't usually write reviews but this time I felt compelled to write one. When I saw this item on Revain I was thrilled to see what appeared to be high quality, high ratings, etc. It arrived. i washed it I picked some cherries from the trees. Assembled from pictures (no written instructions. It was easy). They approached. Transducer Transducer (this is the sound of a piston entering a cherry). I have set my space. Washed cherries in a colander, a new tool and a bowl for picking pitted cherries. After processing what I needed, I checked the bunker and saw all the bones. I thought wow! That thing is cool! I boiled my cherries to make the filling. I chilled them a bit. That's when I started to see the problem. I stirred my cooked cherries and saw the pit. Then another and another. And more and more. If you look at the picture that shows a funnel with pits and a clear plastic tub with pits and slime, that's all the pits I fished out of my processed, cooked cherries that went through a stone press! Not very successful. You can see the relationship between what is in the bunker and what went through. I was working slowly, trying not to overload the tool, etc. I just wasn't working that well.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Not efficient
