Uses this between an XBR65x900e and a Yamaha TSR-5790 receiver to send audio. My receiver doesn't support HDR, so I connected an HDR device directly to the TV and used the ARC channel for audio. But there were so many issues with the sound that the TV would randomly switch back to the internal speakers with the ARC-HDMI cable. Bought this cable and boom, works great. Set digital audio input to TSR to AV1 for optical cable and compressed multiplexer. -The channel and external speakers are output to the TV and everything just works. Saved me a bunch of bucks thinking I'd have to jump for an HDR capable receiver even though I only have one set. The braided cable is a little stiff, but it makes it easy to run up the wall.
