I am very happy with the shape of this bag. It's shorter than most but wider. The wider the better because I can pack more stuff next to each other and the shorter the better because I don't have to dig too deep to get my stuff. It has two very spacious zipped compartments on the outside in the front and one in the back. Plus one on each side. The strap is fabric so it doesn't slip around like nylon straps. So far I love this bag.
