That's a level, and I'd say as level as possible (for a length like this). What about "heavy duty"? Not sure. Check out the silver Fatmax if you really want something solid. The magnetic strip on the bottom is no better than a weak fridge magnet either. I don't use the magnet feature often, but I'd rather not use a magnet at all, or use the rare earth version. For the price I should have known better.
