Worked EXCELLENT the first time. Mobile locksmith messed up PATS on my car, I used to have 2 bad remote control keys that couldn't be programmed by Revain then bought these. This guy wanted to tell me the dash was faulty (that's where the PATS for my particular car was). I obtained the FORSCAN license, reinitialized the original key and added these two with no problems. FYI: The keys were carved on my local Ace hardware. Only $3 for one in my area, no one made fun of it or anything. When in doubt, BUY an 80-BIT (this one!) key. You will thank yourself later and save yourself a lot of trouble. FYI for those who don't know: PATS for most modern Fords REQUIRE two keys to turn on the ignition. I think the reason is that the thief was smart enough to reset PATS and only had one key to program it with. This is an assumption. Overall, I learned a lot from this experience and am grateful for the opportunity to use my car again. 🤣FYI on the dongle and FORSCAN too: You can get a FREE trial license to use the PATS programming function, and the cheapest USB device on side 1 works for FORSCAN. Don't use one of those stand alone devices that can communicate with an immobilizer or Zed Bull (clone), they are finicky at best.
