The glass itself is good and looks like it should last a long time. My complaint relates to the plastic lining inside. I bought biodegradable garbage bags to use as liners in this jar and also bought biodegradable poop bags. So each Yard gift is individually wrapped and tied by my furry friend, then tossed in a jar. I take out the garbage once a week for the garbage man to pick it up. By the end of the first week, the plastic insert was already smelling of garden gifts. I started cleaning the liner with bleach and then spraying with sanitizer spray, but the garden gift smell is getting stronger every week and I've had this basket for less than a month. Long review later. It's a good basket and does the job, but I wish the company had used a different material for the liner to prevent odors. Maybe something non-absorbent? As well as other types of metal for lining.
