I bought this case for my new iPad and it has turned out to be just the thing to protect an expensive item I have have. Its durable surface makes it easy to hold with minimal risk of slipping. It fits the iPad snugly, and interestingly, when I close the case (which is necessary to save power), the iPad's screen instantly goes dark, so I don't have to do it by pressing the power button. At the same time, the iPad screen turns on automatically when I open the case. Just to note that this case is not enough to protect the screen of the iPad if it falls or hits something, so you need to get a screen protector which is not included in this case. For the price, this case is not bad at all.
