I love beautiful things and have received very beautiful passport covers as gifts. Unfortunately, I found out pretty quickly that those cute passport covers are pretty inefficient at customs clearance when traveling abroad. Do yourself and your fellow travelers a favor and buy these passport covers. You don't have to take them off at customs when they need to scan your passport. When I'm not traveling, I put other travel-related items in it, like my Suica card for Japan and my Priority Pass card. I'm tempted to get them as stockings because they are so wonderful.
