Provides extra support/hold I was looking for, keeps size and doesn't slip. Worn in high temperature, absorbing moisture and sweat, but not slipping or getting hot. I didn't think about cleaning it, I just soaked it in a bowl with some dish soap, rinsed it out and it was like new. I also didn't think about what they would look like as I never thought about how stylish the arms of my glasses are, but although most people only noticed them when I put the glasses on a table, table etc , have you noticed that you are invisible or perfectly good.
