Such a cute house for feral kittens. I chose it for our porch because I thought it would look good there. In the photo it appears light blue or gray-blue. It's actually an evergreen. Pretty purple. It looks awful with our stone and gray house so if I decide to keep it I'll have to paint it. Also, like other reviewers, I thought the metrics were wall to wall. They're actually rooftop to rooftop and porch bottom to back door. It really is the size of a kitten. I hope sellers add a chart showing this if they haven't already. I put in a self-heating pad that is too big to lay flat so it levels the wall as well. I lined the top with Mylar to ensure it stays dry on the inside. But no matter how comfortable I get, I understand that with the onset of winter, it won't work. Apparently he's too concerned about cramming himself into a confined space, even during heavy rain and thunderstorms. I don't know where he's going but I saw him running like a madman in the field behind us as the thunder rolled and the clouds parted and I feel so sorry for him. He hangs out on the porch more often than before we had a house, but that may be because we feed him there. In the weeks we've had the house we've been able to get him to stick his head in to eat when he's really hungry. But he'll be out soon. A flap door is pretty much useless. It's badly designed. If that was the only problem I would figure out how to reverse engineer it. Bottom line, if I were looking for a purple cat house for decoration or for small kittens I would give this house 5 stars.
