This works for ages 4+. I thought maybe it would work for my 3 year old (because in the 4th line of the description it says ages 3-13), but alas it is too big. The mask is fine, a nice pink color that girls will enjoy and quite comfortable and covers the full face. My 3 year old wore it for one day at preschool and actually came home with a different mask on and she told me that it ripped (she ripped off the elastic band while taking off her mask for lunch time). Granted a 3 year old is not being very careful about removing her mask, but the elastic band did come off when she tugged it off, so it may not be well sewn on.
