It a good sturdy base it’s a huge improvement to the Sony stand, (but a stack of book would be better that the Sony provided stand). As far as cooling, it turns on and has blue LEDS where the brightness indicates fan speed. I don’t feel like it provides more air in the right places. I can barely feel it even on max. You have to: turn the fans on/off/change fan speeds. Charging is based off the system. If PS5 is on or in sleep mode controllers will charge. If the system is off no charging at all. Don’t like that feature. Guess I could use an ac/dc adapter to an outlet instead of PS5 USB port. I have it set up as instruction show to USB port. May switch it to an adapter so charging is always an option.
