REVISED REVIEW I am revising my review not only about the product but also about the seller. I received a very harsh response from them because they felt that I had given them a negative 3 star rating. They also accused me of misusing the lens, but if they had actually read my original review they would have seen that I understood what I was doing. I encourage anyone considering this lens to take a good look at the photos posted by the reviewers. None is sharp like a pin. That was my problem with this lens. So I sent it back and thankfully got a refund. I can't tell you whether it's worth buying this lens. This is your call. I just wouldn't buy from this particular seller. Your actions caused me to downgrade my rating by one star. Who needs that kind of hassle on the part of the seller when there are others selling the same product? I've also included an updated photo showing a comparison between this lens and Canon's 75-300mm kit lens. You have to decide for yourself which is hotter. I have a Canon Rebel T6 and was hesitant to pay for an expensive telephoto lens. I bought this lens mainly because of the price and also because I'm not a professional photographer, so I thought it might be a good first step towards bird photography. I had this lens for almost a month and practiced with it whenever I could. Remember this is COMPLETELY MANUAL. No autofocus or aperture switching. Follow the instructions for the letter. Use a tripod and a remote shutter release. Otherwise you will have too much camera shake. You may still have some internal jitter, especially when using burst mode. Use it even on a windless day. I took some photos of the birds when my feathered friends visit the bird bath. I would say the results are ok. I haven't managed to get a really sharp photo yet. Manual focus is a bit tricky as it's very sensitive and doesn't make mistakes. I'm also learning that the right focal length is key to getting the subject in focus. If you can't fully focus, try increasing the focal length. It's also important to use Live View mode, as you'll need to zoom in and focus on the subject before taking the shot. I also use flash as birds tend to move around a lot. I delete a lot of photos with it, but a few photos are acceptable. I can sharpen it a bit in post-processing. In general this is a good lens. If anything, it helps me understand the steps I need to take when photographing birds so that when I'm ready to upgrade my camera and lenses I have some knowledge of what settings I need for my shots.
