Kitty watched me open the package as I told him it was for Greystoke. Then I let him sniff the heating pad and he watched me put it on his bed and immediately climbed in and stayed in it instead of crawling under my feet and vying for the foot warmer under the kitchen sink where he sometimes got accidentally stepped on , when I didn't realize he was so close to my feet. It also prevents me from possibly falling if I turned around and tripped over beforehand. When it gets too hot on warm days it lays down on the cold floor so I know to unplug the mat and plug it back in on cold nights. I use an old towel over it to keep the carpet and his bed clean. I washed the pillow and it came out fine. I wish I had thought about this a long time ago. It's worth every penny.
