Review on Amazon Basics Classic Puresoft Padded Mid-Back Office Computer ๐Ÿช‘ Desk Chair - Cream with Armrest: Ultimate Comfort and Style by Wendy Parks

Revainrating 1 out of 5

This is the worst purchase of my life.

This is the most pointless purchase I've ever made. I'm just blown away that Revain called this product by its name. I'm a pretty skilled guy but this chair took almost two hours to put together and wow that's an awful chair. Main problem #1: The back of the chair tilts slightly forward at about a 95 degree angle to the seat and this cannot be changed - the screws are designed for this painful angle. Main Problem #2: The chair won't recline. The mechanism that supposedly allows tilting does nothing; whether in or out. Main Problem #3: The knob that is supposed to control the voltage doesn't do anything either. Key Problem #4: Hollow chair back - no padding. They sit on a layer of fabric with nothing underneath. Core problem #5: The piston is held in place only by gravity, so the chair lifts off the wheels when lifted. Major issue #6: The back of the chair is about a half inch wider than the armrests will allow, putting undue stress on the screws, which I believe would have subsided within a few weeks if the chair could be used. Since it is unusable, this chair goes straight into the garbage can. I'm *not* going to agonize over taking it apart, putting it in a box and taking it to a UPS station for a refund. I'd rather just throw it away and take it back for the rest of the evening.

Pros
  • Soft seat and backrest
Cons
  • Long wait
