I have an RV1250 tripp-lite inverter and it is installed in my 36ft RV. It powers my entertainment system, including my surround sound system, other TVs and my fridge/freezer at home. It is very important to be able to constantly monitor the charging and battery status. The inverter is located in the storage compartment under the car, so you have to go outside to see the status of the inverter. With APSRM4, those times are over! The interconnect cable has a clearance of 50 feet from the inverter to any point in most applications. You can also use the remote control to switch the inverter to the charge-only position so that when you are either connected to shore power or running a generator, the inverter will only maintain battery levels using the onboard charger. Fantastic accessory, as said, it should come with the inverter when you buy it. Not that free, but it should be included, it's priceless! Necessary!
