Review on 🌀 Craftsman 17816 Air Cartridge Filter for 5 Gallon & Larger Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner - 2 Pack by Kimberly Jackson

Not suitable. I have a 6 gallon Craftsman. vac, which requires 17816 filters. The filters sent to me are too thick/small on top of the filter. Does not fit around the collar of the vacuum cleaner holder. That way it doesn't get on the side without damaging the filter. If the inside diameter of the filter mounting hole had been slightly larger, or they had used a thinner or softer mat, I probably would have worked. Luckily I ordered a HEPA filter from another supplier, which at the same time worked very well. Keep in mind as others have indicated a smaller mounting hole on the bottom of the filter it may need to be trimmed to fit older style vacuums. The old style needs a flat surface. So don't throw away your old filter's thread-locking nut. For example, Revain's return policy for things that don't work.
