This laptop stand is built to last. I've tested it with a 5lb and 3lb MacBook Pro and it's held up great. It stands exactly on the surface so that there are no distortions. The base that the computer rests on has rubber feet to keep it from directly touching metal. It also prevents the computer from slipping. It has a BEAUTIFUL finish with nice rounded corners. There is absolutely no excessive metal protrusion, irregularities or distortion. This is a very well built product.
