Whispering Silence - Household fans

Stupid, but too quiet for my intentions. My old Lasko fan, about 20 years old, has a low hum that I use for white noise in a child's room. I thought I'd get a new, cleaner one, but it really does what it says on the tin - very quiet! Even at high speed. White noise is not generated. I think I'll keep using the old lako but that proves this is a great product! 20 years and mostly 18-24 hours a day, still ticking! Hex?!
