NOX is a very flexible renderer with a variety of rendering technologies. The renderer is designed to be easy to use and is supported by large communities. I use NOX for most of my 3d projects: I use it for architectural visualization, architectural design, CAD visualization, and animation. I like that it is highly customizable and has a growing community behind it. Although NOX is fast, it has a lot of memory to run on, and can take up a lot of hard drive space and bandwidth. I also dislike how complicated it can be to understand the renderer. This is my primary 3d renderer, and I have found it easy to learn and use for architectural visualization, CAD visualization, and animation. The fact that it's open source makes me love this software even more! I can't think of anything in particular i dislike about nitrox other than maybe its not as user friendly for beginners but once you get used to how everything works there isn't much else needed from your side (aside form learning). It has all features one would need out off box including raytracing which gives great results with minimal effort required by us developers/engineers who use these tools day after day.
