I haven't used them often, I just bought them to make it easier to belay the dog if we have one somewhere. He's not mean, just boisterous and thinks everyone wants to be his friend, which scares some people because he's quite muscular and has a head that looks like the front end of a Studebaker. I have a length of rope, one at each end, which now allows me to attach one end to his harness or leash and the other end around a tree or pole or whatever. As far as I can tell they are identical to Everbilt stainless steel. I got one from HD which is priced at £350. The same sensations, weight, size, mechanism of action. To be honest I couldn't tell them apart except the one I had had a small scratch on it. I can't say for sure if they are the same. Very happy with two at this price! It's always good to have a pair on hand for that one project that you need an extra hand for or when you need to temporarily hang or secure something heavy.
